Sage began her journey as a singer/songwriter and actress when she was three years old and has been performing and perfecting her craft ever since. Sage grew up with some of the world’s best musicians biopic2around her; her grandmother having worked with Elvis and her mother with Leonard Cohen.

Sage started acting at age three, working with director Oliver Stone in the film The Doors. At age four, she acted in the film Thunderheart with director Michael Apted. Then at age five, she went on to dance with Michael Jackson in the John Landis directed music video Black or White.  Sage recorded her first solo/vocal recordings on a award winning documentary film, The Third Verse, 500 Years, and The Land of The Children.

In junior high school Sage had her own show, hosting cartoons on the Disney Channel.  In high school Sage co-starred in ABC’s Dreamkeeper.  Sage then began her education at Yale in 2004 while biopic1simultaneously co-starring in the Steven Spielberg miniseries Into The West.  Through her education she explored the world studying in London and Russia, at the renowned Moscow Art Theatre. During her Yale education she continued to hone her craft as a musician and actress.  Upon her graduation, Sage went to Los Angeles and started to work on her new musical venture. This led her to London, Nashville, New York City, and finally back to Nashville, where she is currently recording a new EP with Jonathan Trebing and beginning work on a new record.

“Sage stepped from the curb at the Nashville “International” Airporinto my life one day a couple of months ago. She got in my car and we went to the studio and started jamming. It was immediately obvious tome that she was not just an average song strumpet. This girl had legs and a depth of understanding about the form and function of rock music. I had been prepped that she was an Ivy Leaguer who had ties to rock & roll royalty and movie stars not to mention that she spoke Russian and had worked at the Moscow Art Theater, and she won me over in the first hour by pouring her heart out about some dumb rocker boy who had gotten under her skin… we wrote a song.. it rocked… case closed. There are people who never “are” and then there are those who just “are”. Sage is one of the latter. She is willing to go way out on a limb and have that limb break off and still keep going even farther out. Don’t try to pigeon hole this artist. She will keep surprising you just like she did me. Check her out!”

“I met Sage years ago, and have watched her evolve into the
wonderfully talented singer that you’re about to see. A former punk
rocker, Sage now takes a more elegant approach to her sound and style,
cherry picking musical elements from a variety of styles and time
periods. On one hand, this is an homage to soulful classics like Etta
James and Aretha Franklin, while on the other, it soars with her
delightfully fresh attitude. Sage makes it her own, and we’re excited
to have her.”
